It has been sometime since we've be able to update the news about the Old Greyhound, because basically there has been no news.
The second anniversary of the closure to the Old Greyhound has come and gone and the building and grounds become more and more 'tatty'.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that things will improve certainingly in the short term. Croft PLC, the company that owns Belvoir Holdings, the registered owner of the Old Greyhound has entered 'Administration'.
In the Administrators' Statement of Proposals of the 3rd June 2009, the Administrators indicate that the Old Greyhound forms part of Croft PLCs assets and is conseqently under the control of the Administrators. A meeting of the creditors of Croft PLC was held on the 18th June 2009, the outcome of that meeting is not known at this stage. Full details of the Administrators' Statement of Proposals are available for download from the Companies House web site - WebCheck.
The future of the Old Greyhound now appears to be in the hands of another third party!!!!
